Any questions?
You don’t need any special equipment to enjoy Mams and Prams Fitness Club sessions but here are some tips to help you get started.
How often do the classes take place?
Classes meet every Wednesday morning at 10am by the Magnesia Well cafe in Harrogate’s Valley Gardens.
What should I wear or bring?
Comfortable trousers such as tracksuit bottoms/combats and trainers are essential. It is also advisable to bring a rain coat and pram cover for our typically unpredictable British weather!
What if it’s raining?
Only if weather conditions are extreme will the classes be cancelled, which has happened once – in June!
Do I have to be really fit to join?
Mams and Prams Fitness Club aims to develop and improve your postnatal fitness, so there are no expectations regarding your level of fitness prior to joining the classes. All that is asked is that you have had your doctor’s approval to start exercising.
I”m a bit nervous about coming on my own. Does it matter?
Not at all. Mams and Prams is an extremely sociable group. As well as being able to chat en route, we also congregate after each class for a coffee, and often meet socially.
What if I need to stop and feed my baby?
Then stop! There are lots of benches situated all around the park. We are all mums so we all understand the needs of a new mum (or should I say baby!)
How much are the classes?
Individual classes are £4 per session. Alternatively you can purchase a 6 session class pass for £20 (1 session free)
